Tephrocactus articulatus var.papyracanthus- Paper spine cactus
These are so weird, and cool, and originate in Argentina. These plants are quite big for our shops normal selections- all of the are about 6-8" tall with multiple pine cone shaped segments. Spines are flat and soft, and can curl when the get long, more like ribbons. Probably won't get taller than 12". Produces white bell like flowers. Segments can fall off, but are easily propagated.

Light: Part to full sun, protect from afternoon hot sun
Water: Let dry fully between watering, water deeply
Soil: Use fast draining soil
