Kalanchoe delagoensis - Mother of Millions
This plant is strategic and as a result, creates quite the legacy. Its stem is slender and its leaves grow in alternating positions to allow for maximum sun exposure. It also loves the sun and will grow up to 3 feet, but its growth doesn't stop there. At the end of each slender spotted green leaf, it sprouts little plantlets that eventually fall off and root very easily in almost any condition; hence, its name: "Mother of Millions."
If you live in an area that is more difficult for succulents, give this one a go, but be aware that if given the right conditions, it will truly sprout millions! Other than being extremely easy to propogate, its also good to know that the plant is poisonous if ingested so its best to keep out of reach of pets and children.
Also known as Cheandelier plant or Mexican Hat plant, its leaves can also transform into a purple beauty with age.
