$5.25

In stock

As shown in pic, you get 3 cuttings of each plant, 6 cuttings total. Each string is 3-4 inches long.

**Growing your cuttings**
Lay your stems across the soil, slightly burying the stem in some places. Make sure there is good contact between the soil and the stem. Senecio can develop roots at any point along the stem. Crassulas develop roots at leaf nodes. Let the soil dry out between waterings. Cuttings root faster if the dry period is shorter, so keep an eye on them. If you want to check on the roots, don’t pull your plant out of the soil! This disturbs any roots that have formed. Instead, gently tug on your plant and see if it is being held in or not. These are slow growing plants and they can take weeks to root. Be patient! As long as it isn’t dead it will probably still grow roots.

Soil
Use a very well draining soil mix. Store bought cactus and succulent mix often retains too much water. You can add gritty materials like pumice, lava rock, or perlite to loosen it up and improve drainage. Your mix should be at least half gritty ingredients. Use a pot with drain holes so the soil can dry out.

Water
Soak your plants thoroughly, then let them dry out completely before watering again. Frequency will depend on your climate. Check for dryness by sticking your finger into the top of the soil, or looking into the drain holes at the bottom of the pot.

Bare Root Shipping
Most of our plants ship bare root to save on shipping cost. This means the plant will not include a pot or soil. Some plants are shipped in the pot to avoid damage.
