Hi friends, my shop is currently on pause while I attend to some family stuff. -Amie

Greenovia ‘Fairy Cluster’

$9.75

Sold out

Pale green clusters with slightly wavy leaves. They grow into a nice cluster of offsets.

Greenovias are a type of Aeonium. They have lush green growth in the winter, then in the summer they go dormant and fold down into dense rosettes, often with beautiful bright colors. See below for more details on care.

Care
Greenovias develop gorgeous colors and shapes during their summer dormant period. They are not too hard to take care of, other than some specific watering needs. Once they start going dormant in the summer heat, they should only get watered about once a month. Water them carefully so no water gets trapped inside the rosette. At this point, it’s normal for some of the outer leaves to die. As the weather cools in the fall, they will start to open up. At this point you can resume regular watering. Greenovias are closely related to Aeoniums. Like Aeoniums, they like more water than other succulents – only during their growing season of course. They are very sensitive to cold, so don’t let them freeze. Aeoniums and Greenovias can get bruised very easily in shipping.

Size
2″ pot

Soil
Use a very well draining soil mix. Store bought cactus and succulent mix often retains too much water. You can add gritty materials like pumice, lava rock, or perlite to loosen it up and improve drainage. Your mix should be at least half gritty ingredients. Use a pot with drain holes so the soil can dry out.

Water
Soak your plants thoroughly, then let them dry out completely before watering again. Frequency will depend on your climate. Check for dryness by sticking your finger into the top of the soil, or looking into the drain holes at the bottom of the pot.

Bare Root Shipping
Most of our plants ship bare root to save on shipping cost. This means the plant will not include a pot or soil. Some plants are shipped in the pot to avoid damage.
