Graptopetalum Mirinae | Cutting | Rare Succulent

$4.50

Slow grower that will eventually put out lots of branches and heads to become a cluster. Very delicate and beautiful! Some of the heads will be white from the variegation. Both cool temperatures and lots of sun bring out more pink.
Since these are very delicate, some leaves will probably come off during shipping. You can just put them on top of the soil to grow babies!

**Growing your cuttings**
If necessary, strip off a few bottom leaves from the stem of the cutting so it has a section of bare stem (but be careful not to break the stem). Then, stick the stem into some soil. Let the soil dry out between waterings. Cuttings root faster if the dry period is shorter, so keep an eye on them. If you want to check on the roots, don’t pull your plant out of the soil! This disturbs any roots that have formed. Instead, gently tug on your plant and see if it is being held in or not. These are slow growing plants and they can take weeks to root. Be patient! As long as it isn’t dead it will probably still grow roots.

I have selected cuttings that root easily, however I cannot guarantee that yours will grow. Buy at your own risk! That said, I expect a very high success rate with these. Good luck!

Roots
Cuttings – no roots

Light
Part sun, protect from hot afternoon sun

Water
Let dry between watering, water deeply

SOIL – I recommend very well draining soil mix. Store bought cactus and succulent mix often still retains too much water. You can add pumice, lava rock, or perlite to loosen it up and improve drainage.

WHY BARE ROOT?
I sell most of my plants bare root for 2 reasons:
1. I use high quality, well draining soil that also happens to be very loose, it doesn’t stay in the pot very well during shipping so it would make a big mess.
2. The weight and bulk of soil increases shipping costs significantly. (My soil is a lot heavier than standard nursery soil.)
